Mushroom Growing

Great Lakes Mushroom Company is hosting a mushroom growing event with the help of Ionia Conservation District. You will learn about different types of food and tea mushrooms, how to grow them, and how to troubleshoot the mushroom growing process. Participants will get free Michigan grown mushroom pizza, a mushroom bag to practice growing mushrooms, and a pre-cultured mushroom bag. NOTICE: when starting your mushrooms gardening journey, just as with any gardening, be careful of the species you choose, where you store them, and whether they are native or not to your area. Fungi can be invasive just like any other species
