No-Till Drill Report 2026
In 2026, the no-till drill planted 5 acres of cool season grasses; 156.83 acres of warm season grass and wildflower; 43 acres of wildflowers interseeding into prairie; 9 acres of switchgrass; 14.6 acres of firebreak; 4 acres of foodplot seed; and 18 acres of pasture mix; bringing together a total of 250.43 acres of plantings with the no-till drill.
We serviced 18 landowners during the 2025 calendar year.
We are anticipating less acres in 2026 due to contracts with smaller projects.
Our Ionia conservation planner staff continue to promote the pollinator practices. We have 20 Conservation Stewardship Program (Farm Bill CSP) plans that incorporate a pollinator component on ag lands. These landowners use them in border areas against trails, ditches, and fields. It is common for producers to square up fields with these seedlings for the ease of turning bigger equipment.

The drill must be pulled by a 35-40HP tractor with hydraulics. If you do not have one accessible, you may purchase the technician services as well.
