Hunting Access Program

(HAP)

Through the Michigan DNR, landowners may provide public hunters limited access to their property in exchange for financial compensation and liability protection.

Are you a hunter looking for somewhere to hunt?

HAP allows members of the public to go onto HAP registered private land to hunt during various hunting seasons. They may hunt as they would on public land with a few additional rules, such as:

  • Following the landowner’s rules as found in the registration folder on the HAP property.

  • Only hunt the designated “hunt types”

  • Do not damage standing crops

These lands are for HUNTING ONLY. They cannot be used by hunters for any other activity.
